Prep Circular - 26 September 2025

Dear Parents, in this circular, we are sharing feedback from Garron Adlard, the Prep school Head of Round Square, following their recent attendance at a conference in India. During the August holidays, five Woodridge pupils, namely Anina Krugel, Murray-John Boonzaier, Austin Botes, Gibran Hassim, and Jasper Poultney, represented the Prep at a Round Square Conference in India. Accompanying these children were Mr Garron Adlard and Mrs Roslyn Pienaar.

Dear parents, I trust that the start of the third term has been positive as we get into the rhythm of a new term. The September camp is done and dusted, and it is always so wonderful to see our pupils arrive back at school with a real sense of fulfilment and achievement. These camps are so important in developing, not only grit and determination, but a love of the outdoors and a real sense of camaraderie. They are about character building and self-discovery.

From the time our school first opened, learning beyond the classroom has been more than an addition to the timetable – it has been a cornerstone of how we nurture well-rounded, resilient, and confident young people. Even though outdoor experiences are built into our curriculum, we have a more intense focus on Outdoor Education during the first half of Term 3. Dear parents, welcome back to the all-important third term at Woodridge College! As we step into the beauty of spring, with its longer days and warmer weather, our campus comes alive once again - offering more time for sport, outdoor exploration, connection, and growth. This term is always a significant one in the life of our school, filled with meaningful milestones and memorable moments. For our Grade 12s, this term marks the culmination of their journey at Woodridge, as we prepare to bid them farewell and celebrate their achievements. Our Grade 10s will embark on The Way, a formative experience that can challenge and shape them in unique ways. Across all grades, this is also a time of academic focus with the final examinations on the horizon, and more importantly, a time of personal development.
