Dear parents, I have found myself reflecting lately on the world our children are growing up in. A world filled with extraordinary opportunities, yet one that places enormous pressure on young people to perform, achieve, fit in, and measure themselves against expectations that are often unrealistic. Social media has amplified these pressures, creating a world in which children are constantly exposed to what others think, what they should look like, how they should behave, what success should resemble and, perhaps most concerningly, who they should be.

Dear parents, the past few weeks have been filled with emotion, celebration, and reflection as we began to bring the school journey of our Grade 12 Class of 2026 to a close. Through the Old Woodridgean Association (OWA) Induction, the Boarders’ Leavers’ Dinner, Prize Giving, and, of course, the deeply emotional Valedictory Service, we have had several opportunities to celebrate this remarkable group of young people and the contribution they have made to Woodridge.

Dear parents, as we bring another incredible Adventure Season to a close, I find myself reflecting on what has been a remarkable few weeks at Wodridge Prep. A season filled with muddy shoes, tired legs, wet clothes, punctured tyres, determined faces, plenty of laughter, and, above all, extraordinary personal growth.

From the Headmaster's Desk - 2 October 2026

Dear parents, as we reflect on the past few weeks at Woodridge, it is clear once again just how much takes place within our School community. From our Heritage Day celebrations, where our pupils had the opportunity to celebrate and share their individual heritage, to a busy programme of sport, musical Soirees and the Grade 9 Market Day, there has been a wonderful sense of energy and purpose around the School. Each of these occasions provides our pupils with opportunities to learn, participate, grow and, importantly, to enjoy the many facets of the Woodridge experience. We are grateful to our staff for the tremendous commitment they continue to show in creating these opportunities and to our pupils for the enthusiasm and positive spirit with which they embrace them.
