OVERVIEW
Welcome to the world of riding at Woodridge.
The prestigious Woodridge Equestrian Centre (WEC) offers pupils (and parents) top quality lessons on a variety of schooled horses and ponies on its well-managed premises. The highly-qualified instructors, coach riders from beginner to advanced in most English disciplines, including Show-jumping, Dressage and Equitation, as well as Eventing, Western Mounted Games and Mounted Archery.
Our WEC riders have gone on to represent their provinces at national competitions in all disciplines, earning accolades for Woodridge College and Preparatory School – one of the few schools in the country to offer Equestrian as a sport.
An open riding school
The Centre is not exclusive to Woodridge-enrolled pupils. Currently, just over 80 (internal & external) riders are taught at the WEC. At College level, horse riding may be selected as a first-choice sport, giving pupils the opportunity to earn sports colours during their high school career.
A total of 8 disciplines are offered by the WEC.
The facility is currently home to 21 horses and ponies, of which 14 are used for daily lessons.
Did you know? The Woodridge Equestrian Centre has held the Eastern Cape's SANESA title for several consecutive years at Preparatory level, while the College has also bagged the coveted award a number of times.
The WEC has highly-qualified instructors, offering a wealth of experience.

neat, clean and in tip-top condition, while they get involved in the "behind the scenes" action and also accompany our riders to shows.
We cannot run the centre without their valuable contribution, care and dedication.
