U14A vs Westering
Woodridge won the toss and elected to bowl first. Westering were bowled out for 84 runs, with Jay-Reece Madatt taking 2 wickets for 8 runs after 5 overs. Iviwe Ngangelizwe took 2 wickets for 14 runs after 5 overs and Logan Meyer also took 2 wickets for 5 runs after 1.5 overs. Woodridge then went in to bat. Logan Meyer was the top scorer with 34 runs in 23 balls. The Woodridge u14A team won by 5 wickets.

U15A Team vs Union
Union won the toss and chose to bat first. Union were bowed out for 99 runs, with Miles Feltham taking 4 wickets for 15 runs, Kurt Krull taking 2 wickets for 9 runs and Salizwa Masoka taking 3 wickets for 11 runs. Woodridge chased the score down without losing any wickets. Jordan Damons scored 50 runs and Miles Feltham scored 28 runs. The Woodridge u15A team won by 10 wickets.
2nd Team vs Union
The Union 2nd team won the toss and chose to bat first. Union set a target of 58 all out after 24.3 overs, with Lomso Zide taking 4 wickets in 6 overs with 3 maiden overs and Lukhanyo Ndulama taking three wickets in 2 overs. The Woodridge College batsman then came in to bat with a positive mindset and went on the attack with openers Zche-Keane Killian and Oliver Puttergill scoring boundaries. Killian made 26 off 21 balls and Oliver Puttergill 25 off 16 not out. The Woodridge 2nd team won by 9 wickets.

1st Team vs Union
Woodridge played Union on Friday, 20 January, in a T20 format. Woodridge lost the toss and were sent in to bowl. Union made 81 runs for 7 wickets after the 20 overs. Ryan Porter took 2 wickets for 6 runs in 4 overs. Woodridge then came in to bat and made the score in 13 overs with 4 wickets down. Jaydin Damons scored 24 runs, Randy Syce made 23 runs, not out. Woodridge won by 6 wickets.
The following day, 21 January, Woodridge took on Union again in a 50 over format game. We won the toss and elected to bowl first. Union made 126 runs in 41 overs with Bukho Pantsi taking 1 wicket for 3 runs in 6.3 overs, ending with an economy of 0.4. Ryan Porter took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 10 overs. Woodridge made their score of 126 runs in 13.3 overs and 1 wicket down. Ethan Moothoo made 32 runs, not out, off 43 balls and Jaydin Damons made 72 runs, not out, off 35 balls. Woodridge won by 9 wickets.
1st Team Water Polo

The Woodridge 1st team Water polo boys took part in the Merrifield pre-season tournament in East London this past weekend. Their first game against the Stirling 1st team resulted in a 5-3 win for Woodridge. Benjamin Tyrell and Jack McClure worked well together in the pool to secure this win. Woodridge then beat Port Rex 12-1. This was a big win for Woodridge, which gave them the confidence they needed to take on their next challenge. The third and final pool game against Selborne's 2nd team was going to be a tough one. An outstanding team effort secured a 4-3 win against Selborne. Woodridge emerged top in their pool and were set to play Merrifield in the semi-final. A big effort from Mark Canny and VanGinkel Venter lead the Woodridge team to a 7-5 win against Merrifield, which meant they would play in the final against Selborne 2nds. After a narrow first half the score was only 1-1 after half time. The Woodridge boys stayed composed and ended the game in a 4-3 win. The Woodridge 1st Team boys won the gold medal and returned to Gqeberha ready for the season that lies ahead.
