Dear families

The recent national elections have highlighted the importance of making choices, reminding us all that the decisions we make impact both our own lives and those of others around us. From an early age, children start to make choices. At primary school level, it is crucial for parents and educators to prioritise instilling strong decision-making skills and values in children. Possessing the ability to make wise choices is a critical life skill that will benefit them throughout their lives. At the core of wise decision-making are strong values and morals that guide children toward making the right choices. These values are shaped by the examples and structures provided at home. Parents must model good decision-making themselves and openly discuss essential values such as honesty, respect, kindness, and responsibility with their children.
