Dear parents, as we reach the conclusion of yet another busy yet rewarding term, I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to our community. We have accomplished so much over the past few months. It has been a time filled with growth, learning, and countless memorable moments, and I am immensely proud of our students and their dedication to making the most of every opportunity.

Dear parents, I trust this communication finds you well, and my hope is that you have managed to have somewhat of a breather while your children have been away at camp since Wednesday. As we draw the curtain on what has been a frenetic yet highly successful summer sports season, I want to take a moment to thank you, the parents, not only for the support you have given the school, but most importantly the support you have given to your sons and daughters who I know really cherish having you on the side of the field, next to the pool, or even just on the phone offering encouragement. The summer season has been defined by some wonderful achievements and a ‘heap’ of time and energy invested by all involved. From the dedication of our athletes to the unwavering support of our coaches and staff, this season has been a testament to the passion and commitment that drives sport at Woodridge.

Passion & commitment put Woodridge girls’ cricket on the map

When the Woodridge girls’ first cricket team were allocated the school’s main sporting venue – for a match, it dawned on them that they have finally been taken seriously. This occurrence is just one of the many signs that the traditionally male-dominated sport has become a very real option for young female sporting pupils as Woodridge College and Preparatory School positions itself as a genuine cricketing hub in the Eastern Cape.

Woodridge hosts inaugural girls cricket festival

Woodridge College proudly hosted its first-ever girls' cricket festival, welcoming some of the most prestigious girls’ cricket schools in the country. The festival was a resounding success, showcasing high-quality cricket played in great spirit, with teams demonstrating skill, sportsmanship, and determination throughout.
