
Dear Parents
As we approach the end of the first month back at school, I hope that as families, you have managed to get into a rhythm in dealing with the franticness of the first term. So much has happened already this year and it is so good to see our student body taking up the many opportunities on offer, building positive relationships, and developing resilience. This year the theme for the College is ‘Taking Responsibility’. ‘Taking Responsibility’ is such an important ingredient in developing young adults of significance. It is key to their personal growth and future endeavours. As your sons and daughters progress through their school journey, they are presented with numerous opportunities to develop this vital quality—both in and out of the classroom.
Taking responsibility for the young adolescents in our care means being accountable for one’s actions, meeting commitments, and understanding the impact of decisions. In the academic setting, this could be as simple as completing homework on time, preparing thoroughly for assessments, or seeking help when needed. It also extends to their role in group work, where contributing meaningfully and supporting peers builds a strong sense of teamwork and integrity.
Beyond academics, responsibility is evident in their involvement in sports, cultural activities, and service initiatives. A responsible team player attends practices consistently, gives their best effort, and upholds the values of sportsmanship. Similarly, those in leadership roles...
