We are deeply saddened to share the news of the sudden passing of Grade 12 pupil, Troy Schofield. The entire Woodridge community mourns this tragic loss and extends heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
Troy joined Woodridge as a boarder in Grade 10 and was a fantastic sportsman and gifted adventure sports athlete. He was a beloved member of our school who will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by teachers, coaches, staff and fellow pupils, especially the Starck boarding residents and house parents.
“This is an extremely difficult time for our school community. I encourage all our pupils and staff who need support to make use of the counselling services provided and ask that everyone's privacy, especially Troy’s family, be respected as we all grieve this tragic loss together,” said College Headmaster, Luke Hartley.
A prayer service in honour of Troy was held on the 2nd of August 2024.
