Dear Parents

As the curtain comes down on our winter sports season, we are able to reflect on a season with many memorable moments and some disappointments along the way. There have been many highlights - games won through determination and teamwork, individual moments of brilliance, and the spirit of camaraderie that has brought teams and supporters together across all codes. These are the moments that remind us of the power of sport to unite, inspire, and grow young people.

Of course, along the way, we have also experienced our fair share of disappointments - hard-fought matches that didn’t go our way, injuries, and the emotional ups and downs that come with competitive sport. However, it is often in these moments that the greatest lessons are learned: resilience, humility, and the ability to bounce back stronger. We are incredibly proud of the effort, commitment, and sportsmanship shown by our students throughout the season. Also, thank you to our dedicated coaches and managers, to you, our ever-supportive parents, and of course, the passionate spectators for your ongoing encouragement from the sidelines.

So, as we close the chapter on a busy and rewarding winter sports season, we now shift our focus to the examination session - a change in rhythm that brings with it new demands, routines, and opportunities for growth.

As we transition into a more academically focused time, we encourage our students to apply the same discipline and determination to their studies as they have on the field of play. This period after half-term requires a different pace, one that prioritises academic preparation and focus. Following the break, our staff will be available to work closely with our students, ensuring they are well-supported in their revision and equipped to approach their assessments with confidence.
