Dear Parents

Dear parents, as we come to the end of the second week of term, we are already able to reflect on so much that has taken place. The start of a year is always such an exciting time for all. Its been so rewarding to see the campus come alive again, as each student brings their own energy and enthusiasm to the College. At the Grade 8 welcome, the afternoon before school started, I encouraged our new students to do three things when the term started: embrace the opportunities on offer at the College, build meaningful
relationships and develop resilience. These are key ingredients in making the year ahead, for all, a year of happy fulfilment.

The year started with a bang, as we celebrated our 2024 Matric results. The class of 2024 outdid themselves achieving 100% pass rate, 95% University pass rate and 1.9 distinctions per student – simply outstanding! Our Mathematics Core students also achieved a 35% distinction rate and the Woodridge subject average for Mathematics Core was 5% above the national IEB average. Our Drama and Creative Arts departments also both achieved averages of above 80% - also both subjects with subject averages well above the national averages. As we look to the year ahead, we wish our class of 2025 much success as they take on the challenges of Matric. We have full faith that they will produce excellent results at the end of the year.
