Dear Parents
I trust this communication finds you well and that your families have settled into the rhythm of the third term. As we move into the fourth week of term on Monday, we are already able to reflect on the amazing work many of our students and staff have managed to accomplish. Term 3 has gotten off to a flying start. The second camps week of the year is done and dusted, the Outdoor Education programme is in full swing as the various House teams prepare for OE Day and many of our sports teams have already participated in fixtures against other schools as they get into the summer sports season. As always, we encourage you to stay engaged and connected as we work together to ensure a successful and productive term for all our students.
Over the course of the past two terms, we have focused on a sense of belonging and kindness within our school, as reflected in many articles from Mrs Minnie as well as messages in assemblies and to various grade groups. As we guide our children through their schooling journey, I’d like to encourage you to have a meaningful conversation with them about the importance of belonging and kindness. School is a place where children not only learn academics but also develop essential social skills that shape their character and future relationships. A sense of belonging is crucial for every child. It fosters confidence, self-worth, and a positive mindset. As mentioned in a previous communication, when children feel they belong, they are more likely to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
Kindness, on the other hand, is at the heart of creating a supportive and inclusive community. Encouraging your children to be kind to others — regardless of differences—helps build stronger friendships, reduces bullying, and ensures that no child feels left out or isolated. It’s important that they understand that their words and actions have the power to lift others and create an environment where everyone feels valued.
