Dear Parents
Welcome back to the all-important third term at Woodridge College!
As we step into the beauty of spring, with its longer days and warmer weather, our campus comes alive once again - offering more time for sport, outdoor exploration, connection, and growth. This term is always a significant one in the life of our school, filled with meaningful milestones and memorable moments. For our Grade 12s, this term marks the culmination of their journey at Woodridge, as we prepare to bid them farewell and celebrate their achievements. Our Grade 10s will embark on The Way, a formative experience that can challenge and shape them in unique ways. Across all grades, this is also a time of academic focus with the final examinations on the horizon, and more importantly, a time of personal development.
This term is rich with opportunities for learning, leadership, as well as character building as each of our pupils continues to grow into a young adult of significance. We look forward to supporting and celebrating their progress together. I often talk to our pupils about their “Trophy Cabinet” and hopefully this term each one of our pupils will be able to add to their “Cabinet” in their own meaningful way.
Over the course of the holiday, I have had the opportunity to read and relax, and it is such a privilege to have this time to connect with family and recharge as we ready ourselves for the final term of the year. One thing I do enjoy, as many do, is listening to TED Talks. One of these talks that caught my attention was by Lenore Skenazy: “Why you should spend less time with your kids”.
