College Newsletter - March 2021

Thank you for your support in this, the first term of 2021. We close out this term having so much for which to feel grateful. We have moved from COVID level 3 back down to level 1 and we have been able to enjoy an active summer season of sport, outdoor pursuits and a variety of cultural and music activities. We have returned to near-normal routines after a tumultuous year in 2020 and remain hopeful that we will not have severe disruptions to our school life going forward. A lovely excerpt from the writing of the author of Little House on the Prairie, Laura Ingalls Wilder, expresses the reality of what should, and indeed must, be our approach to this unique time which we are sharing:

"As the years pass, I am coming more and more to understand that it is the common, everyday blessings of our common, everyday lives, for which we should be particularly grateful. They are the things that fill our lives with comfort and our hearts with gladness - just the pure air to breathe and the strength to breathe it; just warmth and shelter and home folks; just plain food that gives us strength; the bright sunshine on a cold day; and a cool breeze when the day is warm."
