Eight teams of five Woodridge Preparatory School Adventure Racers completed 'The Woodridge Way', a 3-day adventure race from Woodridge on the edge of the Van Stadens Gorge to Jeffreys Bay, via some of the most beautiful countryside the Eastern Cape has to offer. Finishing on Main Beach the 'Wayfarers' had mountain biked through farms, game farms and along railway lines. They had trail run down gorges and over Fynbos-covered hills, and canoed sections of the route to make this an extremely exciting multi-disciplined team event. With the motto - 'Deal with it!' - the organisers threw numerous curved balls in the direction of the teams to see how they would react and cope with the unexpected. At the end of the day, the 'Wayfarers` had grown both physically and mentally. All the Grade 6 and 7 boys and girls who accepted the challenge now know, `There is more in them than they thought.'
